Chalk Pyramids
While you’re enjoying your stay, don’t miss other attractions,
such as the Sternberg Museum of Natural History and the historic Fort Hays. If you are interested in geological formations, the Chalk Pyramids, Castle Rock and Monument Rock are all unique native stone formations that have formed through weathering and are known to reveal some intriguing fossils. (These three formations are on private land, so permission to explore up close is needed).
