Special Hunts
The Fall Special Hunt information is now available by clicking the button below. The application period for the November, December and January hunts is September 1 thru September 30, with the draw occurring the first week in October.
Please carefully review the dialogs for each hunt. There may be exceptions to the application process. Examples: Additional Special Hunts as noted on pages 7 to 9 have specific application instructions or contact information for application process. These hunts are not addressed in our application process and may have rules and instructions different from those outlined by the Special Hunts Program. Another example is archery access permits issued for the entire archery season. These access permits will be drawn in August so your application must be in by July 31.
The following hunts are leftover from the first draw. These will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who did not draw a hunt in the first draw. Please contact Tina McFerrin at 620-672-0791 for more information.

NOTE: You may apply once for each application period.
You must have the required hunting license and appropriate hunting permits to participate in these hunts. Park permits may also be required.
Persons awarded a hunt through our application process will receive an email confirmation immediately following the draw. The access permits and maps will be emailed separately. If you are unable to make your hunt date, please notify the location area manager so that the hunt may be reassigned. To decline a private land hunt, please contact Tina McFerrin at 620-672-0791.
SPECIAL NOTE: Three hunts at Milford State Park have been added to the special hunts. Please refer to page 27 and page 30 of the brochure for details. One hunt is an open archery deer hunt; one is a mentor archery deer hunt and the other is a youth firearms deer hunt.
